Before the wedding
Before the marriage, you need to have time for a lot:

All this relates to the preparation of the wedding itself, but it is preceded by a few more important days – matchmaking, engagement, bachelor party, hen party. Recently, the bride’s marriage begins to fade into the background. The groom asks the girl’s hands in private, and then he comes to the bride’s parents house to receive a blessing from them. It happens that this stage generally falls out of the series of modern wedding traditions, being replaced by an engagement.
Engagement
The engagement ceremony occurs when a guy offers a girl “hand and heart” and receives consent to his proposal. The engagement is often held in a restaurant and is held together with a wedding ring with a stone (a symbol of feelings and serious intentions) on the ring finger of the future wife. So the girl becomes the bride, the guy becomes the bridegroom. According to modern traditions, this happens between future newlyweds and does not require the presence of relatives. They are informed before or during the announcement of the engagement – an event where it will be announced about the intention of the engaged to play a wedding.
Engagement is a beautiful wedding ceremony that came to us from the West and is becoming stronger, often combining with matchmaking, sometimes replacing it. Both events are popular in one way or another. How, where to ask for hands – depends on the upbringing, the views of the groom, his relationship with the bride, his and her parents, family traditions of both newlyweds, remoteness from the home. Both customs mark the first and very important step towards creating a new family.
Bachelor party
The farewell holiday with the bachelor life of the groom, the organization of which falls on the shoulders of his comrades, is a bachelor party. Only men, exclusively close friends of the future bride and groom, can attend this event. From ancient times this day passed on the eve of the wedding, guests gathered for a cup, remembered the bachelor’s past, said parting words. Now this is an active, extreme vacation or a noisy walk in the club, filled with fun, comic gifts, fun that the groom will soon be unable to afford.

Previously, a bachelorette party was a farewell to a girl with her youth, friends whom she could not see after the wedding (often the groom lived far from the bride’s house), parting with the old life. Marriages were not always concluded by mutual agreement, the girl could not love the groom. A sad mood reigned at the festival, sad romantic songs were sung. Now a bachelorette party is a fun party that can be arranged by the newlywed’s girlfriends, in order to surprise the bride, brightly spend the last day of her single life.
