Choose a bride dress
The bride and groom are the main characters at the wedding celebration. It is on them that the eyes of all the guests are fixed, so their desire to look their best is understandable. It is especially difficult for the bride: she has dozens or even hundreds of bridal fashion salons at her service, where countless wedding dresses are offered to her. How to choose the most beautiful dress for the bride, one that emphasizes all the advantages and delicately hides the flaws, that will make the groom's heart beat faster?
Where did the outfit that we consider the bride’s dress come from? After all, at the end of the 19th century, the bride and groom were married in traditional holiday clothing, characteristic of their estate and locality, so often the newlyweds practically did not stand out among the guests. There is a version that in this way the newlyweds were protected from evil spirits. Although, of course, even then there were elements of the outfit, characteristic only for the bride. For example, a wreath as a sign of innocence of the bride and groom, veil or veil - as a talisman from the evil eye. The apron could be included in the wedding attire - not only an attribute of the hostess, but also reliable protection of the abdomen - the place of origin of a new life - from envious people. Later, first in cities, and then in the countryside, wedding dresses were sewn exclusively from white fabric. Contrary to popular belief, the white color symbolized not only and not so much the chastity of the bride as her "death" for her family and "rebirth" in her husband's family.
In different countries, they treated the wedding dress for the bride differently. In Russia, great-grandmothers got married in a wedding dress, in Italy, Spain and Greece, and to this day, wedding dresses are sewn, not rented, after the wedding - they are stored as a powerful family talisman, the French believe that the dress of the newlywed must be long (than it longer, the longer family life will be) and white, Americans never save on a wedding, but they prefer to rent outfits.
No wonder brides are in turmoil when it comes to wedding dresses? White, pastel shades or vibrant colors? Long or short? Classic or avant-garde? Fluffy, flowing or tight? Custom Made or Ready? Buy or rent? Or maybe you should go to the registry office not in a dress, but, say, in a beautiful wedding trouser suit? From all these questions, my head goes round, and only the bride herself can give answers to them.
So, you still decided that the crown would go in a dress. When deciding on the style, do not forget to take into account not only fashion trends, but also the features of your figure, the color of hair, eyes and skin.
Having chosen a traditional romantic dress of the bride, you choose an outfit with a top in the form of a corsage and a lush bottom. But you have to forget about the loops and ruffles - they are inappropriate here. Such a style will hide all the flaws of the figure and beautifully emphasize the chest, shoulders and arms. But for the bride "in position" this cut is excluded: it is extremely undesirable for them to pull the waist.
Empire bridesmaid dress would be optimal for such brides: with a raised waist, a light flowing hem, as decoration - a thin embroidery or a short train.
The narrow dress of the bride will suit brides who are confident in themselves and their own figure. A long, tight-fitting figure, with a deep neckline and / or train, it does not need an abundance of jewelry, but nevertheless looks elegant.
Extravagant brides who are not afraid to shock friends and relatives will be delighted with the bride’s short dresses. Loose and tight, with a fluffy or narrow skirt, with a raised or slightly lowered waist, with a corsage or even a train - nothing limits your imagination.
Finally, fussy brides, who were not satisfied with any of the above options, let them try on the flowing bride’s dress - a simple cut, most often long and with a train. Ruffles and embroidery are acceptable.
If you still prefer the long dress of the bride, try to ensure that the bottom of the dress ends at the level of the ankles - this will not only emphasize the grace of the ankle, but also show the shoes, which we are sure you also took a very long time. Having chosen the bride’s dress with a train, decide for yourself how long it will be (up to 15 cm - short, from 15 to 55 cm - moderate, longer than 55 cm - long) and where it will "grow legs" from. Most often, the train is a continuation of the back panel of the skirt, but, in principle, it can start from the coquette on the back, waist or shoulder line.
The most important thing is that you feel comfortable in your bride dress. A long veil or veil, a long train, a full skirt - all these elements of a wedding dress must be learned to wear so as not to spoil your wedding with an uncomfortable dress.
